Pakistan is seeking assurance from the ICC regarding the team’s security during the tournament. Additionally, they have reservations about certain World Cup venues, which they will present to the ICC for review. This move comes after years of suspended bilateral cricket between Pakistan and India due to political tensions, with matches only taking place in multi-team events at neutral venues.

The recently revealed World Cup fixtures include a highly anticipated match between Pakistan and India, scheduled for mid-October in Ahmedabad. However, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) requires government clearance for any tour to India, including approval for the match venues.
